Ben Mayes is Owner and Director of Fitness Grand, as well as Team Leader and Senior Personal Trainer. He comes from a strong sporting background and has over 20 years’ experience in the fitness industry.

Specialising in rehabilitation, Ben performs detailed musculoskeletal assessments and prescribes functional and corrective exercises. As a senior qualified massage therapist, Ben’s sessions also include soft tissue therapy and specialised stretching. Ben guarantees a hard personal session and also prescribes individualised programs to follow outside of your PT session to stay motivated.

After a session with Ben, your whole body will feel relaxed and strong with balanced posture.

Ben has also studied extensively in the nutritional fields of “Metabolic Typing” and “Functional Diagnostic Nutrition” and can offer extensive health and nutritional assessments as well as specialised lab testing panels for hormones and gut/liver function.

Hao has over nine years experience and has been part of the Fitness Grand team for over five years. He specialises in functional strength training, body-building and body recomposition training. Over the years Hao has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and makes sure you stay safe by educating and teaching his clients. Hao is also trained in massage and boxing and incorporates this into his training sessions.

Whether your goal is weight loss, building muscle, general fitness or sports performance, Hao will design a program that suits your needs. Hao will set short and long term goals for clients to keep his clients motivated and engaged with their training.

Believe it or not, Hao has been out of shape before he started gym training and he has successfully lost 20 kilos through hard work and consistency in the gym.

Over the four years that Nick has been working as a personal trainer, he has developed his own style of training men and women of all ages and ability levels. He places a large emphasis on evidence-based practice in his coaching. With that said, he is thankful for the priceless understanding of various techniques and methods he has gained through his own training. He has worked with literally hundreds of individuals, seeing great success in improving their strength, mobility, posture and overall physique. These are the results which people will expect to achieve. The best results, however, are the ones which people often don’t expect - a tremendous boost in self- confidence, a determined and positive mental attitude and real belief in their own ability.

Nick’s biggest passion lies within strength training and learning about movement mechanics in everyday life, as well as being an avid football (soccer) fan! Nick will use his experience to help you utilise your time in the most effective and efficient way possible, whilst educating you the whole way about what you are doing and why you do it, enabling you to become stronger people both physically and mentally.
